“Big Fly Big Fish” is a collection of art assemblages by artist and angler Kevin Byrd, based in San Francisco. The work explores technology, hope, the environment, and unintended consequences using a traditional fly tying technique applied to giant human sized hooks.

Mining the detritus of his junk drawers for random cables, technical paraphernalia, and all the random “stuff” that no longer hold purpose, Byrd creates huge elaborate flies composed of artificial materials.
